Heat and Control introduces the new Fastback FDX conveyor: powerful, but 40% smaller

Equipment manufacturer Heat and Control has expanded its FastBack conveyor line with the new FastBack FDX.

New FastBack FDX Force Displacement conveyor drives are 40% smaller than comparable inertia drive horizontal motion conveyors and can convey up to 2,500 pounds (1100+ kg). This makes the FastBack FDX ideal for transfer runs up to 100 feet (30 meter) long, and product accumulation of up to 300 cubic feet (8.5 cubic meter).

Like previous FastBacks, the patent-pending FDX inertia drive provides the same clean horizontal motion conveying that reduces product damage. Instead of advancing product by bouncing, as with vibratory conveyors, FastBack slides product with a slow-forward, fast-back horizontal motion. Seasonings and delicate coatings remain on the product and do not build up in the conveyor pan, thus eliminating unplanned downtime for cleaning.

Horizontal motion conveying maintains pre-mixed blends and does not separate or sift the product components. It reduces transmitted vibration so lighter support platforms can be used. And FastBack operates in the low 70 dBA range with product, creating a more operator-friendly work environment.

The new FastBack FDX also makes economic good sense: it can be reused with different pans when line layouts change. In addition to conveying, FastBacks are available for proportional product distribution, on-machine seasoning application, uphill conveying, sifting, product blending, and accumulation.
